TAYLOR FORD and GARY JERECZEK to associate principal. Ratcliff has also promoted BRIAN FEAGANS to
senior associate and MINNING GAO, LISA MENIKETTI and NINA PAKANANT to associate.

academic and civic clients throughout the Western United States.
PETER TSUGAWA, AIA (Principal) has
28 years of experience and leads technically challenging projects for
healthcare and academic clients. He is
currently principal in charge and project manager on multiple renovation
projects for Sutter Health at their Merritt, Summit, Alta Bates and Herrick
campuses in Oakland and Berkeley; for their Mills Peninsula Health Services
campuses on the Peninsula; for their East Bay Medical Foundation clinics in
Oakland, Brentwood and Orinda; and for the Sutter Pacific Medical Foundation’s OBGYN
clinic in San Francisco. Other clients
include John Muir Health, Alameda Hospital, ValleyCare Health System and Kaiser
Foundation Health Plan, Inc. Tsugawa earned a B.A., Architecture in 1983 from
UC Berkeley. He joined Ratcliff in 1998.
Interior Architect KATY TAYLOR FORD (Associate Principal)
23 years of experience with a focus on interior design elements of form,
function, scale and comfort for hospitals and medical office buildings. Selected projects include the South Bay
Cancer Center for Stanford Hospital in San Jose, California; Primary Care,
OB/GYN and Outpatient clinics for Sutter Health in the greater Bay Area; master
plan and renovation projects for ValleyCare Health System, Pleasanton; and a
therapy gymnasium and cafeteria for John Muir Medical Center, Walnut
Creek. Ford earned her bachelor of
design from the School of Architecture, University of Florida in 1986 and her
master of architecture from the University of Texas at Arlington in 1989. She joined Ratcliff in 2009.
GARY JERECZEK, AIA (Associate
Principal) has over 30 years of experience and is project manager and planner
for a number of the firm’s notable healthcare and academic projects. Selected projects include the Student Health
and Counseling Services Building for San Jose State University and the San Jose
Downtown Health Center. New and
renovated projects with Kaiser Foundation Health Plan include medical office
buildings in San Mateo and Petaluma; the South San Francisco Cancer Treatment
Center; and surgery and clinic expansions to Kaiser’s Richmond campus. Academic clients include UC Davis with their
Tupper Hall Laboratory Renovation, a new Equine Athletic Performance Laboratory
and the Western Human Nutrition Research Center, USDA. He recently won the commission from Chabot
Space and Science Center, Oakland, for their Environmental Education
Center. Jereczek earned a M.A.
Architecture in 1981 from UC Berkeley.
He joined Ratcliff in 1997.
Architect BRIAN FEAGANS, NCARB, LEED AP (Senior
Associate) has 19 years of experience and leads the integration of
sustainability principles into all of the firm’s projects and has managed the
master plan, design and construction of many of the firm’s K-12 schools in the
Bay Area including the LEED Platinum Classroom/Library addition for Windrush
School in El Cerrito, the Marin Academy in San Rafael, and the Saklan School in
Moraga. Other noteworthy K-12 projects
include new and renovated projects for Escuela Bilingue International in Emeryville; The
Athenian School in Danville, Valley Christian School in Dublin, Prospect Sierra
School in El Cerrito and the College Preparatory School in Oakland. He earned a M. Architecture from UC Berkeley
in 1994 and a B.S. Architectural Studies from the University of Illinois,
Urbana-Champaign, in 1992. He joined
Ratcliff in 2003.
MINNING GAO, AIA, (Associate) has 23
years of experience with an emphasis on technologically complex health care
projects. Selected projects include the
Student Health and Counseling Services Building for San Jose State University
and the San Jose Downtown Health Center.
New and renovated projects with Kaiser Foundation Health Plan Inc.
include a new medical office building in San Mateo, a new cancer center in
South San Francisco, and a new ambulatory surgery center in Folsom,
California. Other clients at Ratcliff
include California Pacific Medical Center, John Muir Medical Center, and Alta
Bates Summit Medical Center. She earned
a M. Urban Design/Urban Planning from San Jose State University, 1996; did
graduate studies in urban design at Pratt Institute, 1991-92; and holds a B.
Architecture from Jinning Professional University, China, 1985. She joined Ratcliff in 2005.
LISA MENIKETTI, AIA, LEED AP
(Associate); has 28 years of experience in diverse project types with current
responsibilities involving pre-design through construction administration for
the ongoing Acute Tower Replacement project at Highland Hospital, Oakland. Her breadth of experience in academic
projects includes the Law Library expansion, 40 Jessie Street renovation and
addition, and 536 Mission Street renovation for Golden Gate University, San
Francisco; the Media & Learning Center at DeAnza College, Cupertino, and
the new Filippi Hall, School of Education at Saint Mary’s College, Moraga. She holds a B.A. Architecture from UC
Berkeley, 1985. She joined Ratcliff in
NINA PAKANANT, LEED AP (Associate)
has eight years of experience and is fluent in graphic perspective renderings
and 3-D modeling as well as producing construction documents. She provides
design support across the spectrum of Ratcliff project types. Selected projects include the South Addition
and Renovation at the University of California, Berkeley, School of Law where
she coordinated the LEED documentation process; the Law Library Expansion at
Golden Gate University, and master plans and various K-12 projects with The
College Preparatory School, Windrush School, Marin Academy and Prospect Sierra. She holds a B.A. Architecture from UC
Berkeley, 2005 and joined Ratcliff that year.
