Meaningful Cancer Centers - Planning + Design
Educational Session | E104 | November 19, 2013 | 1:15 pm
What separates planning cancer therapy and treatment centers from planning and design of other medical facilities is the heightened importance of treating mind, body and spirit and allowing the patient and family to have a pivotal role in treatment planning. Both presenters bring a personal side to this discussion, both having been affected by cancer that has impacted their own families. This session will explore planning and design aspects that have been successfully incorporated into projects that bring dignity and hope to patients faced with a life threatening illness.
