Stanford Cancer Center South Bay Ribbon Cutting Ceremony, June 26, 2015

The Stanford Cancer Center South Bay is Stanford Health Care's first comprehensive outpatient facility located in the South Bay, offering patients coordinated cancer medical services in one convenient location.

Designed to inspire positivity in patients by building a respectful and dignified patient experience, the Cancer Center offers a holistic approach to treatments by integrating medical treatment delivery with the supporting care of spiritual advisors, social workers and nutritionists to support the needs of mind, body and spirit.

Stanford Cancer Center South Bay will offer state-of-the-art medical care and services including radiation therapy, diagnostic imaging and outpatient surgery.  The infusion treatment center features private treatment bays and views of the San Jose foothills.

Building planning included extensive process design work in partnership with Stanford's Patient and Family Advisory Councils, members of the local community and a multidisciplinary team of staff to generate a welcoming and efficient floor plan that supports patients, family and staff while maximizing the range of services provided in one convenient location.

Composed of patients who have been treated at Stanford Health Care for a broad range of medical conditions, their family members and staff representatives, the Patient and Family Advisory Council's primary purpose is to address the concerns of patients and families at all levels by representing patient and family perspectives about the overall patient care experience at Stanford Health Care.
