The Transitional Village Modular Housing project merges quality design with prefabrication and modularization to provide affordable, functional, and inspiring housing options to people struggling for normalcy and community. The village scheme introduces a 4,320-square-foot residential commons building and a configuration of 720-square-foot housing modules, which can be replicated at scale for maximum effect and cost reduction. The modules are also flexible enough to vary the program as needed for operational purposes. The project is a sister prototype to the Bauhaus congregate housing project, which is a more dense housing/living transition community.
