Ratcliff developed a phased, 20-year master plan to support De La Salle High Schools changing program and need for future expansion. The first phase involved the design of a new student center space with faculty lounge and a gymnasium renovation. The design challenge was to design and locate the building at the front of the campus in order to create a new entry and sense of arrival. The design utilizes brick and steel that relates to the existing campus and provides a durable environment for the 1,000 students who attend the school. Subsequent phases include the addition of a new gymnasium and athletic support space, new science classrooms, new administration building, various renovation projects, and site and landscape improvements.
