Currently in design is a new five-story, 190,000 square foot Ambulatory Specialty Center (ASC) in San Jose. The project will offer both medical and surgical services to outpatients and is projected to deliver improved efficiencies, better access and positive patient experiences on campus. Additionally, the surgical service is envisioned to accommodate the growing needs of non-acute surgical patients and to reserve the primary use of the hospital’s main operating rooms for inpatient surgical procedures. Situated on a 2 ½ acre site located on the far north side of the medical campus, the ASC will include service lines for Orthopedics, Cardiovascular Care, Renal Care, Gastroenterology, Endocrinology, ENT, Ophthalmology, Hand Surgery and Plastic Surgery. The Center will also provide functional and operational services, including a Clinic to support surgical specialties, Blood Draw, Laboratory Services, Diagnostic Imaging, Pharmacy, Central Sterile Processing, Materials Management, Operations and Administration. Site improvements include grading, distribution of site utilities and provision for parking, patient drop-off zones and delivery access.
